HackerEarth is committed to honoring its users’ rights to data privacy and protection. We have a privacy-conscious culture and GDPR is an opportunity for us to strengthen this further.
What is GDPR?
General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), is designed to give EU citizens more control over their data as it aims to use the same privacy and security law to safeguard personal data.
We encourage you to read our updated Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
What has changed for Recruiters?
We’ve made the following changes in HackerEarth Recruit to make it GDPR compliant:
Sign-up page for recruiters
It is now mandatory for recruiters to select the ‘I agree to the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service’ checkbox while creating a HackerEarth Recruit account. This is required even if the recruiter is using a social login like Google.
If recruiters try to complete the sign-up process without selecting the checkbox, the following warning message is displayed on their screens.
Cookie consent for the recruiters of EU countries
HackerEarth now requires cookie consent from recruiters in the EU.
The recruiters must consent to our Cookie Policy by clicking I understand to give consent to HackerEarth to enhance their user experience and data protection.
Our Cookie Policy is available here in the Cookies and tracking technologies section.
If you have any queries, please go through our GDPR FAQs or send us an email at support@hackerearth.com,
What has changed for candidates?
Nothing has changed with respect to the candidate experience. We have just updated our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use to let them know that their data is owned by the test administrator and will be used only for the purpose of the test.
If candidates try to enter the test without selecting the checkbox, the following warning message is displayed on their screens.
For any queries, see the GDPR FAQs for candidates.
