As mentioned, this procedure depends on the type of judgment that you select. The two cases are as follows:
Case 1: Jury judgment
If you have selected the mode of judgment as Jury, then you are provided with the two types of evaluation:
Binary evaluation
In this mode of evaluation, the submissions are graduated to the next phase based on the usability and relevance of the submission.
To select this mode of evaluation, follow these steps:
- Go to the Type of evaluation
- Click Use Yes/No.
- Click Save.
- Click Go to Next Step.
You have successfully set the mode of evaluation as binary.
Score-based evaluation
In this mode of evaluation, the published submissions are scored based on the criteria that are set by the admin.
To select this mode of evaluation, follow these steps:
- Go to the Type of evaluation
- Click Save.
- Select the suitable judging criteria to evaluate the submissions.
- Assign the maximum score to the selected criteria.
- If you want to add criteria that are not mentioned in the provided list, click Add custom information.
- Enter the title, description, and maximum score of this custom field. For example, you have added Clarity as a new custom field.
- Click Save and add more. A new sub-section is created called Custom containing all the criteria that have been defined by you.

You have successfully defined and selected the required criteria based on which submissions get evaluated. All the selected criteria get displayed on the right side of the page.
Case 2: Public judgment
In this mode of judgment, you can enable only the score-based evaluation. To know more about the score-based mode of evaluation, click here.
Important: If your previous phases have been set as private, then this mode of judgment is disabled.
