Interview interface

To view the interview interface, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your HackerEarth Assessment account using your admin credentials.
  2. Click Interviews.
  3. In the Ongoing section, click the name of the interview. For example, Java Interview.

Your interview interface will be displayed as follows:

Diagram board

This is a diagram board that the interview participants can use to explain the working of code, approach, or any other diagram-specific questions.

Switch tabs

This button allows you to switch tabs to go to the next tab.

Add questions

You can do the following:

  1. Add a question
  2. Choose from Library
  3. Import question from test

Programming language

The candidates can select the programming language that they want to code in from the drop-down list

Follow candidate

This allows you to track the candidate's real-time movements during the interview by clicking the Follow candidate button.

Quick test

This allows you to enter the custom input to quickly check the output for the code.

Output

This shows the output screen contains the output, compilation log, and errors (if any).

Run

This button is used to run the program for sample test cases.

Sample program

This is an automatically-populated program. Its format changes according to the programming language selected by the candidate.

Product tour guide

This starts a guided tour that highlights the key features available during the interview.

Modes

You are provided with two modes during an interview: Meeting mode and Interview mode. By default, the session starts in Meeting mode.

Audio/Video

This allows you to turn on/off audio or video during the interview.

Request screen share

This allows you to request the candidates to share their screens during the interview.

Interview features

These include the following:

  1. Notes: You can write notes during the interview.
  2. Score: You can give scores to the candidate according to their performance. 
  3. Chats: You can chat with the candidate or among the other interviewers.
  4. People: You can see the people present in the interview
  5. Invite: This allows the participants to copy the link and share it with the candidate and other interviewers so that they can access the interview.
