Release notes: January 7, 2026
Here is a list of the latest features released in January, 2026
Additional credits for online plans
You can now buy additional credits to use on top of your existing HackerEarth plan from the billing dashboard. Admins can choose the number of credits needed, and the credits are charged at your plan rate.
After a successful purchase, users can see the total additional credits and the remaining credit balance in the billing dashboard. You will receive the invoice by email and can also find it in the Invoices table. Your existing HackerEarth plan credits are used first, and once they run out, additional credits are used automatically.
MCQ answer explanation
HackerEarth now supports answer explanations for MCQs to help candidates better understand their results and improve report clarity. Recruiters can add explanations while creating questions in a test or from My Library.
Answer explanations appear in all reports, including shareable reports. When Show Correct Answers is enabled, the PDF report sent to candidates will also include the related answer explanations.
Templates in Assessments
We have introduced Templates, a new method to tag and group questions in Assessments. This new feature makes it easier to organize, reuse, and find questions across Assessments. Templates can be created in the Library and added only to published questions. A template can be linked to multiple questions, and a question can have multiple templates.
Templates are also available as filters in FaceCode, helping you quickly find the right questions and build Assessments more consistently.
