The latest features update released in the month of July.

Surprise question

We have introduced a new proctoring setting called Surprise question. It allows admins to check whether candidates have understood their approach to a question by asking them to explain their solution. This is a great way of finding out whether candidates have plagiarized/ used GPT to generate a solution instead of writing it themselves. To learn more about surprise question, read this article.

Introducing Labs in Upskilling

We have introduced Labs in the Upskilling program to support in-depth practice and training sessions. Labs are designed for learning, similar to Skill Tests, but with a focus on mastering content. Whether led by an instructor or facilitated by engaging videos, Labs allow candidates to work at their own pace, revisiting the candidate interface as needed until they achieve their learning objectives. Time is usually not a constraint, providing a flexible learning experience.

Updated Smart Browser version

We have updated the Smart Browser version and have made the following changes:

  • Fixed a bug where candidates would see a restricted key combination warning even when not using a restricted combination
  • Photo ID verification now works in Smart Browser.
  • Added an internet speed and connectivity check. This check occurs right before the Smart Browser goes into full-screen mode and was added to handle cases where candidates see a blank screen due to poor internet.
