Reviewing assessment status in Ashby

After the invite is sent, HackerEarth pushes assessment status updates to Ashby.

You can view the status from the candidate’s HackerEarth assessment activity in Ashby.

The status is updated when:

  • The candidate starts the assessment.
  • The candidate completes the assessment.
  • The assessment is cancelled.

Reviewing assessment results and candidate reports

Once the candidate completes the assessment, HackerEarth automatically processes the results and pushes the data back into Ashby.

  1. Open the candidate's profile in Ashby and navigate to the HackerEarth Assessment activity.
  2. The Status will change to Completed once the assessment is finished.
  3. You can view the candidate's score under Result directly in Ashby.
  4. To view the full assessment breakdown—including code submissions, question-by-question analytics, and proctoring details—click the Profile URL link. This will redirect you to the detailed assessment report on HackerEarth.

The detailed HackerEarth report includes the candidate’s performance breakdown, code submissions, question-level analytics, and proctoring details where applicable.

Cancelling an assessment

Assessment cancellation is reflected between Ashby and HackerEarth.

  • If the assessment is cancelled from Ashby, the invite is cancelled in HackerEarth.
  • If the assessment is cancelled from HackerEarth, the cancellation is reflected in Ashby.

This keeps the assessment status consistent across both platforms.

Multiple assessments for the same candidate application

Multiple HackerEarth assessments can be scheduled for a single candidate application.

When multiple assessments exist:

  • Starting an assessment applies only to the selected assessment.
  • Status updates apply only to the selected assessment.
  • Cancellation applies only to the selected assessment.
  • Other assessments for the same application remain unaffected.

This ensures assessment-level isolation across all flows.
