Sending HackerEarth assessments and viewing reports in Ashby

Once you have successfully enabled the Ashby and HackerEarth integration, you can add HackerEarth tests to candidate profiles, send test invites, and review scores—all directly from the Ashby platform.


Adding a HackerEarth assessment to a candidate profile

  1. Open the candidate's profile in Ashby.
  2. Under Current Activities, click + New Activity.
  3. From the dropdown, select Assessment.
  4. An Add Assessment Activity panel will appear on the right. Select HackerEarth as the vendor.
  5. Under Assessment Type, use the dropdown to search for and select the specific HackerEarth test you want to assign to this candidate.

  6. Click Add Activity.

Sending the test invite to the candidate

  1. Once the assessment activity is added, it will appear under the Current Activities section on the candidate's profile as Hacker Earth Assessment.
  2. Click Start Assessment.

  3. A confirmation modal will appear showing the Assessment Type. Verify the details and click Start.

The candidate will immediately receive an email invite from HackerEarth containing their unique test link and instructions.


Reviewing test results and candidate reports

Once the candidate completes the assessment, HackerEarth automatically processes the results and pushes the data back into Ashby.

  1. Open the candidate's profile in Ashby and navigate to the Hacker Earth Assessment activity.
  2. The Status will change to Completed once the test is finished.
  3. You can view the candidate's score under Result directly in Ashby.
  4. To view the full assessment breakdown—including code submissions, question-by-question analytics, and proctoring details—click the Profile URL link. This will redirect you to the detailed assessment report on HackerEarth.
