New product features released in the month of April.
New candidate invite flow
HackerEarth has introduced a new candidate invite flow for assessments, which enhances the assessment experience. The new flow has fixed several bugs, and you will also be provided with a date picker to select the assessment's expiration date. This makes it easier to invite the candidate for an assessment.
New candidate’s interface (Programming questions)
We have made several major changes in the candidate’s interface of the programming questions, which are as follows:
- The results are now visible separately and appear upon code submission, eliminating the need to scroll to view them.
- Visible and custom test cases have been moved and are accessible via a toggle to avoid back-and-forth scrolling between the problem statement and test cases.
- The submission result layout is redesigned for better clarity.

Visual Studio code interface in Full stack questions
We have introduced the Visual Studio code interface in Fullstack IDE. This provides a better experience to the candidates as they mostly use VS code in their local machines as IDE. We also support Preview within the IDE, which enhances a candidate’s experience. For now, it is available for the following frameworks:
- Flask
- Django
- Angular
- NodeJS
- React
FaceCode video blur
HackerEarth has introduced a new background option in the FaceCode interview, which allows you to blur your background while interviewing a candidate. You have three blur intensities that can be applied, which are as follows:
- None: Applies no effect to the background of the video
- Partial: Applies partial blur effect to the background of the video
- Full: Applies complete blur effect to the background of the video
