Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Release notes: March 7, 2024
New product features released in the month of March.
Candidate looking away
HackerEarth has upgraded its snapshot proctroing features and introduced a new category in proctoring violation called candidate looking away. This will categorize different snapshots into different categories and allow you to see all kinds of violations a candidate can commit. It can detect the following violations:
- Using secondary laptops to use Google/ChatGPT
- Using mobiles below their desk to use Google/ChatGPT
- Using a dual monitor setup to cheat
- Looking at someone behind/on the side of the laptop for assistance
- Leaning partially outside the webcam's view to use an external device
Integrity index
HackerEarth has introduced integrity index, a metric calculated from the number and severity of proctoring violations made by the candidate while taking the assessment. Proctoring violations detected by our system, such as tab switches, snapshot violations, and plagiarism, lower a candidate's integrity index, facilitating quicker decision-making by summarizing all the proctoring violations into a single index. To learn more about this, read this article.
