Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Short data science questions: HackerEarth library
We have introduced short data science questions that evaluate the candidates based on their knowledge of data pre-processing tasks. The suggested time limit for short data science questions is 30 to 60 minutes. Candidates are provided with less time to complete these questions than to complete the longer data science questions. However, the short data science questions usually require candidates to complete fewer tasks than the longer ones. Some of the tasks are as follows:
- Finding and replacing outliers
- Replacing missing values
- Image pre-processing
- Performing statistical analysis
To find these questions in HackerEarth's library, do the following:
- Log in to your HackerEarth Assessments dashboard.
- Click Library.
- Under the Libraries section, select HackerEarth library.
- Under the Question type section, select Data Science.
- Go to the search bar and enter Short task.
You will be able to see all the short data science questions present in HackerEarth's library.
Submission file format
Short data science questions use particular types of submission file formats where the submission type depends on the question. The file formats are as follows:
- .CSV
- .JSON
- .TXT
