Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Slack integration with Assessments
Slack integration allows admins to receive assessment summary report emails directly within their Slack workspaces.
Receiving assessment report on Slack
- Select the test for which you want to receive the report on Slack.
- Navigate to Test details
- Click Overview section
- In the Email and Report settings, enable the Slack report option and enter the email address associated with the Slack channel where you want to receive the assessment report. For more information, see Generating an email address for a Slack channel.
Once you add the email address, the assessment summary report will be directly sent to the corresponding Slack channel.
Generating an email address for a Slack channel
Note: You can either send assessment summary reports to an existing channel or create a new channel in Slack for this purpose.
Follow these steps to generate an email address for an existing channel:
- Open the Slack channel.
- Click on the channel name.
- Click Integrations, and then click Send emails to this channel option.
- Click Get Email Address to have all incoming emails sent to that address posted to the channel.
- You can also customize the appearance of the email address by adding an icon and label name. For example, you can add the HackerEarth icon and email label name as HackerEarth reports.
You can now use this email address to automatically send assessment reports to your Slack channel.
