The article describes how the waiting room works in FaceCode.
In FaceCode, the waiting room allows candidates to join the interview once the interviewer allows them to do it manually. The waiting room ensures that candidates only join the interview once the interviewer explicitly allows them to.
Key features
Some of the key features of waiting room in FaceCode are as follows:
- The interviewers can control the candidate's entry and exit times during the interview.
- This feature prevents organizations from setting up new meetings for multiple rounds of interviews with a single candidate.
- Interviewers can conduct the first round of interviews and then shift the candidate to the waiting room to discuss the next steps.
- Candidates can also chat with the interviewers from the waiting room to inquire about their slot.
- The interviewers are also notified about the candidate's details and their waiting time (the time the candidate has been in the waiting room for their turn) every two minutes.
How does the Waiting room work?
In FaceCode, the waiting room works in the following way from the interviewer's perspective:
Once a candidate joins the interview, a pop-up will appear on your screen, as shown in the given picture.
You can either keep the candidates in the waiting room or allow them to join the interview.
If you click “Keep in waiting room,” the candidate will remain in the waiting room. Every two minutes, a pop-up will appear highlighting the candidate's name and waiting time duration.
Click Ask to join interview when you want the candidate to join the interview. You can also send the candidate back to the waiting room by clicking the People tab when required. Candidates can also chat with you while they are in the waiting room.
The candidate’s interface will look like the following image when they are in the waiting room.
